How we make it
Once ready, we sand the ash wood object by hand. Char it with a flame torch. Remove the embers with a wire brush to finally reveal the beautiful wood grain. Sand it again. Unify the color surface with India ink. Admire the small cracks that make yakisugi wood so unique for a second or two. Coat it in food-safe oils and waxes.
