Care
Charred ash, evened with black pigment. Oil and hardwax-oil finish. Food-safe. Cold food only. It won't survive the dishwasher. Nothing we make will. Wash by hand in warm water with mild soap and dry at once. No soaking, microwave, oven or very hot dishes. Keep it out of strong sun. Re-oil with a hardwax oil every six months or so. Never olive or vegetable oil: they go rancid.
Shipping and returns
Shipping is €25 per order, and a tracking number follows by email once your order ships. Consumers may withdraw within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. Items that arrive damaged or defective are replaced or refunded, including shipping costs.

How we make it
We sand the ash by hand. Then we char it with a flame torch. We brush off the embers until the grain comes up. We sand again and even out the colour with black pigment. Small cracks appear. They are part of yakisugi, and they stay. Tung oil and a hardwax oil seal it. Food-safe. Cold food only.
